Biggar Braai is a newly started company to serve the local and wider community of biggar. We are a family run business, mainly started out of the desire to supply local areas with some good old South African cuisine.
The three traditional foods most South Africans miss are Biltong, Droewors, and Boereworse. Now… let me clarify… Biltong is an amazing snack and is not just good for South Africans… but actually anyone, and in this case… starting with the particularly good people of Biggar.
It’s a high protein snack, so go particularly down well if you happen to be needing a high protein diet.
Also… as an alternative for those avoiding sugar. So you can get lean near zero % fat biltong options. So just the lean tasty goodness.
Most traditional Biltong options do come with a wee bit of fat, that is just for taste and smooth yummy goodness, and help oil those joints ! 🙂
The biltong is cured in a home made, but digitally controlled biltong box, ensuring the environment is controlled despite changing weather conditions…. especially in scotland.
